  • Re: GAForFlash bad error handling for allowScriptAccess = never
That is definitely a by-product of allowScriptAccess = never. Its
possible the "degrades gracefully" only applies to allowScriptAccess =
sameDomain, but that seems like a fairly big oversight.

The only other thing it could possibly be is if one of the domains
hosting or loading the SWF has a policy file in place, but I'd lean

  • Re: Tracking International Visitors
If you are seeing any visits at all, then the problem is not related
to Google Analytics. The Geo-location data is provided by the owner of
each IP address range (ie. their ISP). If the ISP of your visitors do
not publish location information then GA has no way of knowing they
are from Canada, or the UK, etc.

  • Re: How to exclude myself from being counted in the analytic statistics
What IP address are you using in your IP address filter. You need to
put in the "external" IP address of your router / firewall, not the
"internal" IP address used on your local network.

To find your "external" IP address try going to whatismyipaddress.com

  • Re: Why can't I post a message?????
    blah humbug.

  • Re: Inconsistency of GoogleAnalytics and DART ad management tool
When GA sees a new value in those variables (utm_source) it
automatically adds it to the list of sources / campaigns that it knows
about. There is no need to define them ahead of time, as soon as GA
sees a visit from a new campaign it will appear in your reports.

  • Re: Missing campaign results
I don't think there's a limit, but if there is then it would be in the
range of 50,000 unique campaigns, not 12. A campaign will only appear
in your GA reports after at least 1 visit has occured originating from
    that campaign.

  • Re: No data in Advanced Segmentation in August 2008
Before you apply the Advanced Segment you created, what do you see in
your Visitors -> Network Properties -> Hostnames report?

Those are the only hostnames you can segment by with Advanced
    Segments.

  • Re: Analytics has stopped working
When you make a change to your blog layout, (ie. adding a little code
into the HTML), you run the risk of removing the tracking code if you
are not careful. I would go back into your HTML editor and make sure
the tracking code is still there.
